Terms of Booking & Site Use

 

1. General terms and conditions


A. By booking a driving lesson with K P Driving Lessons, you are deemed to fully accept these terms and conditions and agree to abide by them.
B. K P Driving Lessons reserves the right to vary or cancel these terms and conditions at any time.
C. If any of these terms and conditions is held by any court of competent authority to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, in whole or part this will not affect the validity of the remaining terms and conditions which will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

 

2.  Lessons


A.  Lessons are available for anyone aged 17 or over.
B.  You must hold a valid UK provisional driving license, which will be verified, and be legally entitled to drive in the UK.
C.  You must be fit to drive and should inform K P Driving Lessons if you are taking any medication which may affect your driving.

D.  You are able to satisfy the driving test eyesight requirements (20.5m or 67ft)

 

3. Booking, Payments, and Cancellations


A. Payment is accepted by cash or Internet Banking transfer. 
B. Payments are non-refundable, other than in exceptional circumstances and at KP Driving Lesson's discretion.

C  If a pupil cancels a course after the 14 days cooling off period, but earlier than 7 days before commencement of the course (please see 'Your cancellation rights' below), the following will apply. A cancellation fee will be levied on a pro-rata basis.  

10 hours or less will be subject to a £70.00 cancellation charge.

30-hour course will be subject to a £299.00 cancellation charge.
 

D  If you, the pupil cancels the course within the 14 days cooling off period, then a £100.00 administration charge will apply. This applies to all courses from 6 hours to 40 hours.

E  If you, the pupil, cancel the course once it has already commenced, the cost of the hours booked in the 7 days following the cancellation will be charged for, and deducted from any refund amount.

E. Payment must be made in advance of any lessons, or if agreed to, in cash on the day.
F  Lesson bookings may be rescheduled at no additional charge provided at least 48 hours notice is given.

G In the event that a lesson needs to be cancelled, a minimum of 48 hours notice is required.  Should the due notice not be received by KP Driving Lessons, the lesson will be charged in full.  In exceptional circumstances, this clause may not apply and is subject to the discretion of KP Driving Lessons.

H  Whilst every endeavour shall be made to ensure the Learner reaches the required standard required to pass his/her practical driving test,

K P Driving Lessons cannot guarantee a pass.

 

   Your Cancellation Rights

 

Right to cancel (cooling off period). You have a legal right to cancel your contract with us and receive a full refund within 14 days of the day the contract was made. In order to exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us, K P Driving Lessons, of your decision to cancel. This can be done by emailing info@drivinglessonswithkevin.com or by writing to K P Driving Lessons, 56 Tabor Street, Burnley, Lancashire,  United Kingdom.  Please note that if you have authorised us to commence arranging your course or test dates within the cancellation period but subsequently decide to cancel, you may be liable to pay for the cost of work already completed or payments made by us on your behalf. Should you decide to cancel after the 14 day period has expired, a cancellation fee will be charged in accordance with our terms and conditions.

 

 

4.  Fines or Damages

 

During driver training, the instructor has a duty of care to keep the client and other road users safe. The instructor will also try to prevent damage being caused to the car or any traffic offenses by verbal or physical intervention. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, the client agrees they may be required to repay for any damages caused to the car (internal or external including wheels) whilst driving, and MUST also pay any fines for breaching any traffic laws (for example, speeding or driving in an active bus lane). Refusal to take instruction can also result in the suspension of training and no refund will be given.

 

5.  Privacy policy and terms of site use


A. K P Driving Lessons only uses the information collected about you lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
B. YOU MAY NOT MODIFY, COPY, REPRODUCE, REPUBLISH, UPLOAD, POST, TRANSMIT, OR DISTRIBUTE, IN ANY MANNER, THE MATERIAL ON THE SITE, INCLUDING TEXT, GRAPHICS, IMAGES, CODE AND/OR SOFTWARE without written permission from KP Driving Lessons.
C. All information or advice provided as part of this website is intended to be general in nature and you should not rely on it in connection with the making of any decision. K P Driving Lessons does not take responsibility for the accuracy of any information found on this site, or accuracy by following any links leading to third-party sites.
